
The municipal president of El Marqués, Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán, inaugurated the Sports Unit in the Paseos del Marqués subdivision. Present at the event were the Secretary of Public Works, Abraham Ibarra Villaseñor; the Municipal Cabinet Coordinator, Claudia Martínez Guevara; the local district XIII representative, Verónica Galicia Castañón; and the director of the Institute of Sports and Culture, Ricardo Martínez Coronel.
During the inauguration ceremony, the municipal president mentioned the importance of this project to strengthen social fabric and promote healthy coexistence. The project, which had an investment of 46 million 878 thousand 924 pesos, will directly benefit 11 thousand 252 residents of the area.
The Sports Unit has enclosed areas such as a multi-sport hall, three modular multidisciplinary classrooms, an administrative office with reception, two additional classrooms, a storage room, and changing rooms. Additionally, the new sports space includes a 7-a-side football field with synthetic grass, stands, outdoor gyms, thematic recreational games, restroom modules, a security booth, perimeter fencing, and lighting.
