Mexico is introducing new rules for ticket sales for concerts and events. According to the new draft, ticket providers must provide detailed information about costs and purchase conditions. They are required to state the total number of available tickets and their price, including all taxes, fees, and additional charges, from the very beginning of the transaction. Dynamic pricing and any hidden fees are prohibited. Unfair and coercive commercial practices are also banned. Ticket-selling companies cannot set prices different from those advertised. The new rules also aim to combat bots and automated systems used for mass ticket purchasing for resale. This move is a response to the scandal surrounding ticket sales for BTS concerts, where numerous irregularities were discovered. The new regulation will take effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
