The Government of Nuevo León, through the Secretary of Tourism, aims to continue promoting the state as an important gastronomic and tourist destination at national and international levels. The main strategy is to enhance the culinary identity of Nuevo León.
At the first meeting of 2025 of the Committee for the Protection of Traditional Gastronomy, the commitment to promote and strengthen local gastronomy as a fundamental pillar for tourism and the projection of Nuevo León as a reference in Mexican gastronomy was reaffirmed.
Among the projects presented, the digital guide "Gastronomic Treasures of Nuevo León" stands out, which will compile and promote the culinary diversity of the state, facilitating access for tourists through six specific tourist routes. Additionally, the Secretary of Culture announced the creation of the recognition "Corona Nuevo León al Patrimonio Vivo", which will be awarded during the celebrations of Heritage Day 2025.
"Nuevo León bets on its gastronomy as a top-level tourist attraction. These initiatives boost tourism, generate economic opportunities, and promote our culinary identity," said the Secretary of Tourism, Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal.
