There is just under a year and four months until the start of the 2026 World Cup, and Ollamani has reported that the remodeling of the Estadio Azteca, where the opening match will be held, is progressing smoothly. The company, owner of Club América and Play City, plans a total investment of one billion 38 million pesos, of which 472.9 million have already been used by the close of 2024.

Emilio Azcárraga Jean, president of the Ollamani Board, revealed that the focus of the project is on the finishes and internal infrastructure of the stadium, ruling out a planned real estate development around the venue as it is not a priority. In a telephone interview conducted in 2024, Azcárraga mentioned that the remodeling works of the Estadio Azteca are expected to be completed possibly in November or December of this year.

"What matters about stadiums is that they have soul, history, and heart; it clearly requires a very large modernization, having the latest technology," he commented in an interview with TUDN. Ollamani has also announced a new partnership between Club América and Adidas. The sports brand will become the official sponsor of the team starting July 1, 2025.

During an event at the Mexican Stock Exchange for the first anniversary of Ollamani as a publicly traded company, the return of Adidas to Club América after 25 years since its last collaboration was highlighted. Adidas will design and distribute exclusive products for 'the Eagles', available for fans starting July of this year.

Azcárraga mentioned that this agreement is a significant step towards strengthening the relationship with followers and providing them access to high-quality merchandise. The remodeling of the Estadio Azteca continues to advance to meet international standards required for the 2026 World Cup, consolidating its position as one of the most emblematic venues in Mexico and the world.
