Carlos Cuevas shared that during the pandemic his singing teacher, Ignacio Gutiérrez, suggested he resume singing, and thus his new album was born. This production includes nine classic bolero songs with compositions from emblematic figures like Federico Baena, Consuelo Velázquez, and Álvaro Carrillo, as well as a special interpretation of "Preciosa" by Rafael Hernández, El Jibarito.
"It's a very quick album because it lasts 23 minutes, but each song and video is made with a lot of love," added the singer. Despite the passage of time, bolero continues to captivate audiences of all ages, as Carlos Cuevas has verified on his tours.
The interpreter commented: "I have the fortune to travel and perform more than 200 dates a year across Mexico and Latin America, and I see that even young people enjoy bolero. It's a celebration, a bohemia where bolero is the foundation of everything." Carlos Cuevas is preparing for a busy schedule of performances, including being part of La Caravana del Amor at the National Auditorium, along with other recognized artists.
In his concerts, Cuevas sees how the timeless genre of bolero surprises new audiences: "They are beautiful songs that never go out of style." His commitment to the genre is reflected not only in his albums and performances but also in his show "A ritmo de bohemia," which is already in its fifth season on YouTube. Additionally, the singer will take his show to various places, such as Arena Monterrey and the Feria de la Bandera in Iguala.
"Romance in Piano Volume 2" is now available on all digital platforms. Carlos Cuevas reaffirms his love for bolero and his conviction that this genre will remain relevant as long as there are lovers in the world. After 16 years since the release of the first installment of this project, the singer resumes the format that once sold over 300,000 copies in the era of physical albums, now in digital format to captivate new generations.
