A strong fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in the Coyoacán borough of Mexico City when a public transportation truck caught fire on Miguel Ángel de Quevedo Avenue, causing alarm among the local residents.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck, which had been parked in the area during the day, suddenly started to burn from the front. The flames spread rapidly, reaching a large magnitude in a short time and completely engulfing the vehicle. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or injuries, as there were no people on board at the time of the fire.

Emergency teams, led by the Mexico City Firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames and prevent the spread of the fire. The C5 also activated operations to coordinate the response to the emergency and secure the affected area. Residents were advised to avoid traveling on Miguel Ángel de Quevedo Avenue due to the firefighters' operations and safety conditions.

Although there is no official version regarding the causes of the fire, it is speculated that it may have been caused by a mechanical or electrical problem in the vehicle. Authorities continue to investigate to clarify the facts.
