In a final filled with tension and emotion, Mexico's representative, Fatima Bosch, was crowned on Friday as the new Miss Universe 2025. "Believe in her authenticity," the jury stated. During the crucial final question round, which was key to the jury's decision, Bosch capitalized on her experience of overcoming adversity. She emphasized: "We are powerful, and our voice must be heard." The new queen, hailing from Villahermosa, Tabasco, is a fashion designer and uses her platform to raise awareness for neurodiversity, having been diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD in her childhood. Congratulating the winner, Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum voiced her support, saying, "We are more beautiful when we raise our voices." The elite group was also completed by representatives from the Philippines and Côte d'Ivoire. The victory at the Impact Arena in Thailand had a vindicative flavor: the 25-year-old achieved the title after starring in a major controversy with local organizers the previous week. Bosch had previously denounced mistreatment by Nawat Itsaragrisil, the director of the local organizing committee, who had publicly reprimanded her. As reported by the Argentine News Agency, Bosch received the crown from Danish Victoria Kjær Theilvig, prevailing in the final stretch against the host, Praveenar Singh (Thailand, first runner-up), and the Venezuelan Stephany Abasali (second runner-up).
