On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, Fundación Eco-Bahía México launched the 'Power of Plants' initiative to raise awareness about the value of native flora as a basis for biodiversity and human well-being. The activity featured an interactive stand that combined environmental education with practical experiences, allowing attendees to learn about local species and their direct link to wildlife. Among the main activities was the creation of a 'green first-aid kit' made up of medicinal and aromatic plants. The central objective was to highlight the importance of flora as the natural and cultural heritage of the state of Quintana Roo. According to its leadership, when people understand that caring for a plant is also caring for biodiversity, it lays the foundation for long-term conservation. This initiative is an integral part of the foundation's environmental education program, one of its strategic pillars to strengthen the bond between nature and the community. With over 25 years of experience, the institution has consolidated a conservation model based on science and social participation.
