Authorities in Mexico are battling several fires in the state of Jalisco. A forest fire is raging in the Arroyo Seco - Llano Grande de Ipala area of the Cabo Corrientes municipality. At the scene, 52 firefighters from the Fire Management Directorate, the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR), intermunicipal boards, and volunteers are working. A fire at the municipal landfill is also being controlled, with the fire consuming about 80% of the accumulated material. Brigades with heavy machinery are on-site to contain the blaze. Authorities are urging residents to avoid the affected areas and to follow updates for the latest news. So far, no injuries have been reported.
