On Saturday, October 19, Plaza México was the main stage for the Corrida de las Luces, a special event that brings together part of the essence of Mexico and Mexicans: faith, culture, tradition, pride, color, joy, courage, and bravery. The night was dedicated to reflecting on the importance of allowing time in our lives, which often go too fast.

In the ring, the matadors Fernando Robleño, Arturo Saldívar, and Diego Sánchez faced bulls from breeders such as Santa Tomás, Fernando Lomelí, Santa Inés, Los Encinos, and Villa Carmela. Fernando Robleño, confirming his alternative, demonstrated skill, courage, and resources against a challenging bull of the Murube strain. Despite the difficult conditions, Robleño managed to shine with the bull.

The madrileño Arturo Saldívar stole the night by battling an imposing bull from Los Encinos. Meanwhile, Diego Sánchez also stood out in his performance, showing that he is capable of participating in important bullfighting fairs. Despite setbacks like the delays in the charges of some bulls, the matadors displayed their skill and passion for bullfighting.

With an attendance of almost 18,000 people, the Monumental was nearly full, reflecting the interest and passion of bullfighting fans. The corrida was characterized by the excitement, bravery of the bullfighters, and the fierceness of the bulls, creating an atmosphere filled with emotionality both religious and bullfighting-related. The lighting with candles and cell phones added a touch of peace and reflection to the event.

In summary, the Corrida de las Luces once again demonstrated the diversity and passion present in Mexican bullfighting, an event where faith, culture, and tradition combined with the courage and excitement of the bullfighters and bulls, leaving an indelible mark on all those present.
