On Wednesday, October 30, an accident was reported on the Mexico-Puebla highway that caused a significant impact on the traffic in the area. At approximately 00:30 hours, a tractor-trailer overturned, leading to the complete closure of the highway to address the emergency, creating a line of vehicles stretching 14 kilometers towards Puebla.

After a few hours, at 05:00 hours, partial reopening of the traffic was reported, with only one lane opened. This allowed the queue to begin to decrease, although congestion remained significant, prompting continued insistence on the need for caution while driving. By 07:45 hours, the queue was reduced to six kilometers and the situation improved considerably.

So far, the causes of the accident have not been disclosed, nor has it been confirmed if there were any injuries or fatalities. Despite videos and photos of the incident beginning to circulate on social media, more details are expected to be released in the coming hours. The road closure lasted around eight hours and fifteen minutes, starting at 00:30 hours and concluding with the partial reopening at 08:45 hours.
