The municipality of El Marqués anticipates receiving up to 120,000 visitors during the Day of the Dead festivities, with a special security operation to ensure order and health in the cemeteries.

This year, for the Day of the Dead celebrations, it is expected that the cemeteries of the municipality of El Marqués will receive about 120 thousand people during the three days of celebration with extended hours, according to information from the municipal administration. The coordinator of the Municipal Cabinet, Claudia Martínez Guevara, led the start of the security operation that will be carried out at various points in the municipality to ensure the protection of participants in the festivities in honor of their loved ones.

In the security operation, 389 surveillance and prevention personnel will be involved, including municipal police, Civil Protection, Public Services, and inspectors, in addition to 137 operational units, all aimed at maintaining order and preventing incidents among visitors and local merchants. In this regard, Claudia Martínez Guevara highlighted the importance of everyone's participation to safeguard the integrity and tranquility of the attendees, both at points of greater concentration and in the cemeteries, places where the dead are honored with respect.

Additionally, 330 permits have been granted for semi-fixed businesses due to the celebrations, which will be supervised by Civil Protection and the Inspection Directorate to ensure that alcoholic beverages are not sold. It is important to remember that these measures are established to ensure a safe and respectful environment during the Day of the Dead festivities in El Marqués.
