Frustrated Jewelry Heist at Portal San Ángel Mall

At the Portal San Ángel shopping mall, located in the Álvaro Obregón borough, an attempt to rob the Bizarro jewelry store was thwarted. Two individuals used hammers to break the glass of the showcases, but after failing to break the armor, they fled the scene without taking any items. It is presumed they escaped on a motorcycle, leaving one of the hammers on the store floor.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that in the incident at the shopping mall on Avenida Revolución, in the Los Alpes neighborhood, the thieves attempted to steal some pieces from the jewelry store but were unsuccessful, so they fled before the authorities arrived.

On the other hand, at a jewelry store in the Parque Delta shopping mall, located in the Piedad Narvarte neighborhood, a pair of armed thieves stole several jewels after threatening the staff. Although there were no physical injuries, two workers experienced nervous crises. The criminal action was quickly interrupted by the activation of the alarm, which caused the assailants to flee.

In the three mentioned cases, police presence did not prevent the activities in the shopping malls from proceeding normally. Despite the presence of nervous crises among staff and customers, none required additional medical attention. Collected testimonies indicated that in one of the incidents, a customer raised suspicions by mentioning a weapon, but left without causing further problems.
