The Spanish streaming service ViX, from TelevisaUnivision, has confirmed the third season of "Mujeres asesinas," the successful Mexican series that presents cases where women find themselves involved in situations that lead them to commit murders. Among the protagonists are Angelique Boyer and Bárbara de Regil.

The new season consists of eight episodes and highlights the participation of Boyer, recognized for her role in "El extraño retorno de Diana Salazar," and De Regil, known for her participation in "Lola." Other notable cast members include Azul Guaita, Scarlet Gruber, Yare Santana, Cassandra Sánchez Navarro, and Eileen Yáñez.

In this continuation, the series addresses stories of violence against women that share a tragic similarity: the protagonists are forced to make the worst decision of their lives, resorting to murder.

The third season of "Mujeres asesinas" promises to maintain the successful legacy of previous seasons and become a fan favorite. Vincenzo Gratteri, vice president of ViX, emphasizes that the series focuses on complex characters and impactful stories brought to the screen.

Themes such as domestic violence, humiliation, and manipulation are part of the series' narratives, which seek to humanize the protagonists by showcasing their struggles, fears, and desires.

Produced by The Mall, the third season of "Mujeres asesinas" features scripts by the renowned Argentine author Marisa Grinstein, whose eponymous book has been the basis for the creation of more than 100 original episodes. The direction is under Javier Solar and Lorena Padilla.

Jorge Bermúdez, executive producer, highlights that the stories of "Mujeres asesinas" are inspired by real events backed by investigative journalism. Marisa Grinstein played a fundamental role by visiting various prisons in Mexico to recount these stories alongside ViX.
