
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a report highlighting the approach of tropical storm 'Sara', which will cause heavy rains in the southern region of the country. 'Sara' made landfall in Belize and is expected to affect the states of the Yucatán Peninsula.
The most intense frosts are anticipated in the mountainous areas of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango, with temperatures potentially reaching -10 degrees Celsius and the possibility of snow and sleet. Freezing temperatures are also expected in the Sierra of Zacatecas and the State of Mexico.
For other states such as Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Puebla, Veracruz, and Oaxaca, minimum temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius are forecasted. On the other hand, a warmer environment is expected in Michoacán, Guerrero, and Oaxaca with maximum temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius.
Additionally, on November 17, intense rains are expected in the southern region of the country, mainly in Chiapas, Campeche, and Quintana Roo. The first winter storm and a tropical storm are moving over the northwest and north of Mexico, which could generate precipitation in states such as Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Michoacán, and Guerrero.
Regarding tropical storm 'Sara', it is located near Belize and is expected to affect the Yucatán Peninsula, causing heavy rains in Chiapas, Campeche, and Quintana Roo, as well as gusty winds and waves.
