
A woman was linked to the process and sent to preventive prison by a control judge, accused of attempted human trafficking in the modality of aggravated forced or servile marriage in the Sierra de Flores Magón region, Oaxaca. The victim, a 13-year-old girl whose identity is kept confidential, triggered the judicial action thanks to the information provided by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca that led to the linking of the accused.
The complaint indicates that the crime was committed in the municipality of Mazatlán Villa de Flores, where several adults tried to force the teenager to establish a couple's relationship on more than one occasion. The most recent incidents occurred on June 8, 2024, when a third party alerted local authorities, resulting in the rescue of the victim and the implementation of protective measures.
After receiving the complaint, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for High Impact Crimes initiated investigations that led to the issuance of an arrest warrant against the accused. The judge decided to issue a linking order against E.M.R. for the crime of human trafficking in attempted form in the modality of aggravated forced or servile marriage. Additionally, as a precautionary measure, justified preventive imprisonment was imposed, and five months were granted for complementary investigation.
