Controversy Surrounds Custody of José Julián

José Julián has not attended school since the family controversy began between his grandmother, Maribel Guardia, and his mother-in-law, Imelda Tuñón. Four days ago, Maribel reported Imelda for neglecting her son, alleging that the mother-in-law would disappear for days and return under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs.

The Prosecutor's Office determined that Maribel should take care of the minor in the next ten days while the relevant investigations are carried out and a decision is made regarding the custody of the child. Amid this conflict, it was revealed that José Julián has not attended school, raising concerns about his education.

Álex Kaffie, a show commentator, reported on his YouTube channel that a contact with children in the same school as Maribel Guardia's grandson confirmed the child's absence from regular classes. It is unclear whether the decision to prevent José Julián from going to school was made by Maribel to protect him or if it was a recommendation from the authorities.

Lawyer Marce Torres suggested that this school absence could be a temporary protective measure due to the emotional impact caused by the conflict between the mother and the grandmother, as well as the recent loss of the child's father. Although it is unknown when he will return to school, there was mention of the possibility that he may be receiving online classes to avoid academic delays, and it was emphasized that these decisions are made for the well-being of the minor.

The lawyer also clarified that Maribel's complaint against Imelda will be pursued ex officio, meaning that it cannot be legally withdrawn.
