The Secretary of Health (SSG), through the Sanitary Jurisdiction VII, recognized 81 workplaces that achieved certification as "Healthy Food and Physically Healthy Environments" during 2024. In an event that gathered more than 100 people, the recognitions were awarded to representatives of the certified companies, social workers, and health promoters.

The Head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction VII, Ligia Arce Padilla, emphasized the importance of these recognitions in promoting healthy habits in the workplace. She highlighted that by promoting factors that encourage the adoption and maintenance of healthy habits, one contributes to preserving and improving health and safety in the work environment.

Among the main objectives to obtain this certification are to promote adequate nutrition, the consumption of drinking water, regular physical activity, establishing smoke-free spaces, and encouraging hygiene and ecology measures among employees. These initiatives aim to create workplaces that not only prevent diseases but also promote a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Arce Padilla emphasized that maintaining a healthy work environment is a shared responsibility, reminding the community of the importance of working together to ensure the health and well-being of workers.
