Breast Prosthesis Delivery Ceremony for Cancer Survivors

On January 17, breast prostheses were delivered and various foundations were recognized for their support of cancer patients during the 15th Anniversary of the ISSSTE Program.

At the Regional Hospital 'Lic. Adolfo López Mateos' of ISSSTE, 45 women cancer survivors were benefited with external gel breast prostheses during a special ceremony held on January 17. The prostheses, donated by foundations and companies such as Alma I.A.P, Movistar, Farmacias Benavides, and American Express Global Business Travel (AMEX GBT), represent significant support for women who have faced this disease.

During the ceremony, recognitions were also awarded to several foundations, including Toca, Solo por Ayudar, Salvati, Alma I.A.P, the Mexican Association Against Cancer (AMLCC), and Comunidad Musas, for their dedication and work on behalf of cancer patients. The event commemorated the 15th Anniversary of the ISSSTE Psychosocial Care Program and was attended by the general director Marti Batres Guadarrama, medical authorities, representatives of foundations, and oncology patients.

The ISSSTE Psychosocial Care Program, led by psychologist Maribel Hernández Herrera, offers support to patients diagnosed with cancer through the group 'Action, Reconstruction, and Life'. The institution provides comprehensive and quality care to female beneficiaries fighting against cancer and its psychological and emotional aftereffects through the Breast Cancer Detection and Diagnosis Centers located in various medical units nationwide. Donations from foundations and companies play a crucial role in supporting survivors in their recovery process.
