Maribel Guardia Returns to ‘Lagunilla Mi Barrio’ Amid Family Drama

Maribel Guardia returned to the play 'Lagunilla Mi Barrio' after requesting permission from the authorities due to the situation with her grandson José Julián. The actress had reported her daughter-in-law for abandoning the child and obtained temporary custody while the relevant investigations are carried out.

The prosecutor's office decided in favor of Maribel, allowing her to take care of her grandson for ten days, which led her to resign from her work commitments to take care of the 7-year-old boy. Maribel Guardia requested the authorities to fulfill her job obligations to maintain the necessary liquidity to meet her grandson's needs.

Entertainment commentator Álex Kaffie revealed that Maribel received authorization to return to the play, where she did not perform the previous weekend due to the family situation she was facing. The actress, with several work commitments scheduled, asked to fulfill them to avoid losing the advance she had already received.

Maribel Guardia has three scheduled performances, with a 50% advance already received, which are in Belize on February 20, in Matamoros on February 28, and in Texas on March 1. Authorities are expected to allow her to fulfill her work agenda to support her grandson and continue with her professional commitments.
