Today No Circulation in Mexico City and State of Mexico

The "Hoy No Circula" program will be regularly applied this Wednesday, January 29, in the 18 conurbated municipalities of the State of Mexico and the 16 boroughs of Mexico City, as the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAME) has not declared an environmental contingency. The measure applies to vehicles with red stickers, with holograms 1 or 2 and license plate endings 3 and 4, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Regarding whether there will be a double "Hoy No Circula," the answer is no, as air quality has been classified as "good" on Tuesday, January 28, which has not led to the activation of the environmental contingency. This program is only activated in case of contingencies to reduce pollution levels.

Vehicles that can circulate this Wednesday, January 29, include electric and hybrid cars, those with ecological license plates or exempt hologram type, as well as those carrying the hologram “00” or “0”. Vehicles used by health sector workers, ambulances, school transport, funeral processions, cars for people with disabilities, and those identified with public passenger service circulation cards are also exempt.

Additionally, motorcycles and cars with Tourist Pass or permission granted by the Ministry of the Environment can circulate, as well as vehicles with pink, blue, yellow, and green stickers.
