Enhanced Security Measures in Cuautlancingo

The mayor of Cuautlancingo, Omar Muñoz Alfaro, announced the implementation of security measures at the stops of Line 4 of RUTA. This action will be taken in coordination with the State to monitor risk areas and reinforce security in the area. The permanent presence or presence during peak times of citizens will be evaluated in response to users' concerns about the lack of safety at the stops along the Ecological Ring Road.

In recent statements, Muñoz Alfaro emphasized the importance of using technology to identify "red flags" and establish communication with the Control, Command, Communications, and Computing Center (C5) to collaborate with the state government in enhancing security. The corridor of Line 4 of RUTA has been identified as a conflict zone used by criminals due to its connection to other municipalities such as San Pedro, San Andrés Cholula, Huejotzingo, and Amozoc.

Additionally, working groups are being conducted with the municipalities in the metropolitan area to exchange information and coordinate actions with the state government to provide greater security at the stops. The mayor stressed that positive results are expected for the third quarter of the year thanks to these collaborations.

Regarding the reinforcement of security in Cuautlancingo, more personnel have been hired, with the goal of reaching 130 municipal police officers by the first quarter, in addition to the 22 elements from the Secretary of the Navy (Semar). There is also consideration to increase the number of Navy personnel to 30 to improve security in the area. With the presence of the Citizen Guard in Cuautlancingo, work will continue in security tables to address the insecurity issues at critical points for crime.
