Imelda Tuñón is accused of using her son, Julián Figueroa, as an 'ATM' in the midst of a scandal involving Maribel Guardia and her daughter-in-law. Maribel accused Imelda of abandoning her son, returning days later allegedly under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Although the prosecutor initially decided that Maribel should take care of the child for ten days, the prosecutor in charge was removed from office, leading the widow of Julián Figueroa to seek to have the case reopened.
In a recent interview with TVNotas magazine, Omar Chaparro's niece, Nagibe Abbud, who has known Imelda since her work in a musical group, revealed troubling details. Nagibe claimed to have witnessed Imelda's addictions and her alleged physical violence towards Maribel Guardia's son, Julián Figueroa. According to Nagibe, Imelda is manipulating those around her to present a distorted image of the situation.
Nagibe also noted that, due to Imelda's behavior, she decided to distance herself from her, indicating that it was common for her to engage with multiple people and that while under the influence, Julián would try to take her home to avoid scandals. However, Imelda would react violently, hitting Julián repeatedly despite his attempts to calm her down.
Omar Chaparro's niece recalled an incident where Imelda called Nagibe while intoxicated asking for help with her crying son and requested that they be quiet because Maribel was sleeping. Given Imelda's indifference and lack of attention to the situation, it is clear that the alleged manipulation and violence are recurrent elements in the tumultuous relationship between Imelda and Julián Figueroa.
