Guardia explained that her grandson did not wake up at his usual time one day when Tuñón did not spend the night at her house, which seemed strange to her. After waking him up, her grandson revealed that his mother had given him a pill to keep him asleep while she went out.
In response to these statements, Imelda Tuñón has come out to deny Guardia's allegations of administering sleeping pills to her son, claiming that she would never be capable of doing something like that. During an interview on the program 'De Primera Mano', Tuñón rejected the accusations, stating that the medications given to her son have been exclusively pediatric, for cases of flu or vomiting.
Imelda Tuñón has also addressed the breakdown of her relationship with Maribel Guardia after the death of Julián Figueroa, mentioning that she tried to stay close to the host but that this turned out to be counterproductive for her relationship with her son. Tuñón has expressed that the situation was difficult for both, as Guardia felt a strong loss as a mother after Julián's passing.
