The actor, who has 56 years of artistic career, was held by the on-duty doctor who, without his consent, decided to operate on him immediately, resulting in serious complications that led him to be in intensive therapy.
In an interview, Carlos Ignacio recounted what happened: "I was operated on for the first time fifteen years ago for the enlargement of a prostate and it returned to its normal size. Twelve years passed, it grew back, I requested clinical studies, and instead of authorizing them, the doctor operated on me without my consent." The surgical intervention resulted in a stenosis that affected his health, causing him seizures and high fever.
Additionally, the actor faces another health issue stemming from a sciatica condition that prevents him from walking long distances, for which he needs to use a wheelchair. Carlos Ignacio explained: "I have scoliosis, my back is twisted and I have very strong sciatica that doubles me over in pain. Despite the rumors, I can walk a little."
