Investigations Underway After Baby Kidnapping in Escobedo

Authorities in Nuevo León are searching for a couple for the alleged theft of a baby, which they would have removed from its mother's womb in the municipality of Escobedo. It was reported that the birth was induced after a sedative was injected into the mother, followed by inducing labor. The couple of alleged kidnappers reportedly fled with the baby, who still had the umbilical cord attached. The events occurred in the Concordia neighborhood around 11:00 am on Wednesday and were reported by the 19-year-old mother.

The Anti-kidnapping Group of the Attorney General's Office is in charge of the investigations. Unofficial information suggests that the kidnappers could be foreigners, possibly of Central American origin, who escaped on a motorcycle. It has not yet been determined whether they have any relation to the baby's parents. The mother, still in shock, revealed that she was asleep when the events occurred, mentioning that she was injected.

The news of the baby's kidnapping in Escobedo has become more alarming as it is the second case in approximately three months in the area. The previous case occurred on October 31, when two women stole the baby Juan Carlos Serna Alemán. These women intercepted the mother, Esmeralda Alemán, while she was in a store. Authorities managed to capture two women and a man, who were allegedly assisting people in need independently.
