Actress Maribel Guardia is in a complicated situation as she sees her grandson, José Julián Figueroa, living far from his mother, Imelda Tuñón. Although currently the child is under the custody of his grandmother and Maribel's husband, the actress believes it is important for José Julián to be with his mom, as long as she goes through a detoxification process.
In a recent press conference, Maribel Guardia revealed that she witnessed a compromising situation in which her daughter-in-law, Imelda Tuñón, was involved in drug-related matters. This incident led her to take drastic measures to protect her grandson, as she believes Imelda is not in a position to provide the necessary care due to her addiction issues and bipolar condition.
Due to this situation, Maribel decided to file a lawsuit for alleged domestic violence against Imelda Tuñón, seeking to ensure the safety and well-being of her grandson José Julián. Despite Imelda's attempts to publicly demonstrate that she does not use drugs, Maribel will continue caring for José Julián while the appropriate investigation is carried out.
Maribel Guardia also mentioned that her daughter-in-law has repeatedly rejected the help that has been offered to address her addiction problems, which further complicates the situation. The actress sincerely hopes that Imelda can rehabilitate so she can adequately care for her child again.
Amidst these family conflicts, Maribel has emphasized that she has always sought to preserve the relationship between José Julián and his mother, avoiding speaking ill of Imelda in front of the child and even praying for her daily. Maribel's priority is José Julián's well-being and ensuring he grows up in a safe and healthy environment, away from harmful and detrimental situations for his emotional development.
