Valentina Gilabert, the victim of the attack in the case of Marianne 'N', continues to recover in the hospital after receiving more than ten stab wounds in different parts of her body. Mario Casillas, known for his roles in Mexican soap operas like La Dueña, spoke about the situation, as he has a close bond with Valentina whom he considers his granddaughter.

In an interview with Sale el Sol, Mario Casillas mentioned that his closeness with the victim's family is due to Ernesto Gilabert being one of the children of actress Iliana de la Garza, who recently passed away at 74 and was Mario's wife. Although he is not Valentina’s biological grandfather, the actor considers her a granddaughter due to the affection he has for her since she was very small.

Regarding the case of Marianne 'N', Mario Casillas expressed his sadness for what happened and demanded justice, describing the attack as barbaric and not typical of normal people. Marianne 'N' has been linked to the process for the crime of aggravated assault and is currently in preventive detention, while Valentina's family is seeking the reclassification of the crime.

Concerning Valentina Gilabert's health status, Mario Casillas reported that the young woman is making a favorable recovery, although he has not had the opportunity to see her in person. According to the actor, Valentina has awakened from the induced coma and has been transferred to intensive care. Despite showing improvements, she still requires special care such as drainage in her lungs and must face the anxiety stemming from the trauma.
