On February 11, in Tultitlán, State of Mexico, a newborn baby was found in a field inside a garbage bag after being abandoned by his own father, an 18-year-old young man named Lucio. Fortunately, the baby was rescued by paramedics and taken to the Bicentennial Regional High Specialty Hospital, where he received immediate medical attention and his health condition has improved, although he remains under medical observation.
The case took an unexpected turn when private conversations between Diana and Lucio were leaked, in which they discussed how to get rid of the baby. These WhatsApp messages revealed a cold and cruel attitude towards the newborn. In the conversations, Diana mentions that the baby is still alive and is afraid of being found, while Lucio suggests getting rid of him immediately.
As a result of this situation, Aidé, Diana's mother and the baby's grandmother, decided to break the silence and offered a public statement to defend her family from the received criticisms. Although she chose to remain anonymous for security reasons, she expressed her pain and struggle for her grandson. Both the paternal and maternal grandmothers have expressed their intention to seek custody of the minor.
