The Attorney General's Office of Chihuahua announced Wednesday the discovery of six more human remains in clandestine graves located in "El Willy," in the municipality of Casas Grandes. Since the beginning of the excavations in early 2025, a total of 87 decomposing bodies or skeletal remains have been found as of February 20.
In the latest statement from the local Attorney General's Office, issued on Wednesday, it was reported about the location of skeletal remains and various bone fragments that could correspond to at least six people. During the process, three working teams were activated, consisting of Public Prosecutors, expert anthropologists, and field criminologists, in addition to members of the State Investigation Agency and support from the Mexican Army to carry out the excavations in the area.
On Wednesday, February 19, a total of 14 excavations were carried out, from which the mentioned skeletal remains and various bone fragments were extracted. The discovery of this site came following the arrest last January of Pablo "M" "R", known as "El Peluchín", who allegedly provided relevant information to federal authorities. According to the ongoing investigation, members of the La Línea Cartel used this site to hide the corpses and eliminate incriminating evidence.
