Mar de Regil Denounces Beauty Salon Scam

The Mexican influencer and model Mar de Regil is reporting a scam she fell victim to at a beauty salon. Through her official TikTok account, the daughter of actress Bárbara de Regil explained that it all began when she decided to go to a beauty salon she had never been to before and found herself needing to enter without knowing what awaited her.

When requesting information for a women's haircut, she was offered two service options. Mar chose the first option, which cost 650 pesos, as she claimed she only needed a trim and not a complex cut. However, she was informed that there was no staff available to serve her in that capacity and then opted for the second option, paying 750 pesos for the service as agreed.

During the process, the technique used seemed strange to her, as they first straightened her hair, then took a count, and finally dried it. At the end, they charged her 1,500 pesos, double the initially agreed amount. Despite questioning the reason for the extra charge, Mar ended up paying the additional 750 pesos without receiving a clear explanation.

This situation caused upset among the influencer's followers, who showed their support and tagged the Profeco to request a review of the excessive prices of the beauty salon. Mar decided to share her experience to alert others about this practice and prevent more people from becoming victims of this scam.
