Robbery at IMSS Health Clinic in Puebla

Last Tuesday, armed and hooded men broke into the auxiliary Clinic 3 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in San Felipe Hueyotlipan, Puebla, and stole controlled medication from the pharmacy. During the robbery, they tied up and covered the head of the guard, who was alone at the time.

Local authorities have already begun the relevant investigations, although no arrests have been made so far nor have additional details about the incident been revealed. The IMSS filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of the State and committed to collaborating in the investigation.

The affected clinic reported that medical services at UMF No.3 continue to operate normally in areas not affected by the theft, ensuring the availability of medications to patients. Although it has not been specified which substances were stolen or the exact quantity taken, efforts are underway to clarify what happened.

The guard, who could not specify the number of criminals because he was surprised from behind, recounted that upon freeing himself, he discovered that all the controlled medication from the pharmacy had been taken. The IMSS representation in Puebla has initiated legal actions in response to the incident that occurred at the health unit.
