Tragedy at Party: Man Accidentally Shoots Himself

In a video shared by journalist Carlos Jiménez (C4), a group of visibly drunk men can be seen playing with a homemade submachine gun. The scene turns tragic when Miguel, one of the attendees, attempts to fire the weapon unsuccessfully. In a moment of irony, he aims at the individual who did manage to shoot earlier and questions him, "Is your life worth it?" Then he points the gun at himself, at which point the weapon discharges and shoots him in the chest, resulting in a fatal outcome.

In the video, someone who appears to be Miguel's son warns, "Dad, watch out!" upon hearing the first shot. Subsequently, the situation spirals out of control when one of the attendees named Jesús, under the influence of alcohol, successfully fires the weapon. After several shots, the gun jams, and Miguel attempts to manipulate it. In the midst of this confusion, Jesús first aims at one of the attendees and then at himself, ultimately causing a shot to fire.

The tragic incident presents itself as an absurd event, similar to the format of "A Thousand Ways to Die." Miguel, in a state of intoxication, played with the gun without assessing the danger until he ended up shooting himself. The authorities of the General Prosecutor's Office of Hidalgo are investigating this unfortunate event that ended the life of one of the party participants.
