On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Foundation for Social Research has highlighted the importance of self-care and risk prevention so that women can enjoy safe outings. Planning meetings with friends, controlling alcohol consumption, and having support networks are some of the key recommendations.
"If you start to feel unwell, strange, or confused after drinking, notify your group and someone outside of it immediately," emphasizes the foundation. It is essential to share your location and stay alert at all times to prevent potential situations of danger or abuse.
Regarding alcohol consumption, women are advised to limit their intake to one standard drink per day, up to three on special occasions, with a maximum of nine drinks per week. The risks associated with alcohol consumption range from headaches and dizziness to difficulty breathing and reduced reflex response.
In the event of the possibility of being a victim of abuse, it is recommended to plan outings by informing a trusted person about your location and companions. Identifying the drink, monitoring it carefully, and having safe transportation home are preventive measures that can help reduce risks in vulnerable situations.
