The State Attorney General's Office is investigating any possible link with municipal police in Huatulco in this case.
One of the young women, Brenda Mariel Salas Moya, has already been found, but the other three individuals remain missing. The Oaxaca Attorney General's Office has initiated an investigation for the crime of disappearance committed by individuals and is determining if any municipal police member is involved, ensuring that there will be no impunity and providing clarity on the facts.
Due to the uniqueness of the case, the justice authorities of Oaxaca have collaborated with the Attorney General's Offices of Puebla and Tlaxcala, along with the State Search Commission of the State of Oaxaca. According to the reports received, Angie Lizeth Pérez García and Mariel Salas were last seen on February 27, 2025, in Santa María Huatulco, traveling in a Ford Fiesta vehicle with license plates from Yucatán.
Raúl Emmanuel González Lozano and Noemí Yamileth López Moratilla were last seen on February 28, 2025, on Zipolite beach, in San Pedro Pochutla. Thanks to the rapid action and activation of search protocols, Brenda Mariel Salas Moya was found alive in Puebla.
