The government of the state of Sinaloa, led by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, along with DIF Sinaloa, is committed to providing support to women at every stage of their recovery. This was stated by the president of DIF Sinaloa, Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, who highlighted the importance of accompanying women in their breast reconstruction process.
The 7th Breast Reconstruction Day, part of the "Recovering Smiles" program, will take place this Saturday, March 8. A team of medical specialists in plastic surgery, in collaboration with the staff of the Civil Hospital, will offer professional and warm care to 16 women, 6 of whom will receive their first surgical intervention and 10 will continue with their reconstructive process.
Eneyda Rocha Ruiz previously met with the beneficiaries to listen to their testimonies and reaffirm the state government's commitment to ensuring quality medical care. She thanked the trust placed in the institution and reiterated that the doors of DIF Sinaloa are open to provide well-being and support to all Sinaloans.
The goal of these actions is not only to guarantee specialized medical care but also to contribute to the comprehensive recovery of women who have overcome breast cancer. The selected patients have been previously evaluated to ensure they meet the necessary medical requirements for surgeries. They come from different municipalities in the state, such as Guasave, Mazatlán, Culiacán, and Guamúchil.
In the words of Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, this program not only aims for physical reconstruction but also seeks to help recover the self-esteem, confidence, and security of each woman who has faced breast cancer. The commitment of the government of Sinaloa and DIF Sinaloa to the health, inclusion, and well-being of women is reflected in this initiative that aims to accompany patients on their journey to recovery.
