The magazine Quién raised alarms this Monday by spreading the false news of the death of Yolanda Andrade, television host, reporting that she had died at the age of 53. The news quickly went viral through its website and social media, but was denied by Yolanda's boss at Unicable.
The magazine Quién published a note titled 'Yolanda Andrade dies at 53,' which was signed by reporter Arturo Perea and included a warning in capital letters stating that the note should not be published. Despite the warning, the information spread and screenshots of the false news circulated.
Raquel Rocha, director of Unicable and producer of 'Montse & Joe,' denied the information, stating that it is completely false, and requested the media not to replicate the false news spread by the magazine Quién. So far, the magazine has not made any statements regarding the confusion caused by this situation.
Regarding Yolanda Andrade's health, in 2023 she was diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm that has caused her speech difficulties and led her to miss some recordings of her show with Montserrat Oliver. Yolanda has expressed her sadness at not finding a cure for her illness, even considering treatments to undo supposed witchcraft that may have been done to her, without success so far.
