The upcoming online admission exam for UNAM high schools and IPN vocational schools is generating anxiety among applicants, who face uncertainty about the process and how to prevent cheating students from getting away with it. This modern system, developed by IPN specialists, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to validate the identity of students and ensure the integrity of the process, and by being implemented jointly with UNAM, it is expected that university students will also contribute to strengthening the scheme.
Success in these types of exams requires adequate preparation and following certain recommendations to avoid cheating. For example, during the exam, the computer camera must remain on at all times, no additional electronic devices such as cell phones or calculators should be used, and a calm and distraction-free environment should be prepared.
The online exam will be conducted through the Mi Derecho Mi Lugar platform, launched by the federal government as a substitute for Comipems. Starting March 18, applicants will be able to access the instructions and the directory of educational options, and registration will be available until April 15. For those applying to IPN or UNAM, they will be able to enter between May 19 and 22 to obtain details about the exam and application dates.
IPN is a pioneer in the implementation of artificial intelligence for the admission process, which has allowed an increase in the number of registered applicants by more than 20% and significantly reduced environmental impact. Although there is no universal minimum score to enter these institutions, they are characterized by their high level of difficulty, with a greater number of questions in areas such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Regarding the functioning of the exam, the AI system's camera will be observing the applicants throughout the process, so it is recommended to maintain the same appearance as in the registered photo. It is also important to ensure a calm environment and avoid stress to guarantee better performance during the test.
