Discovery of Illegal Crematory Ovens in Jalisco

In Teuchitlán, Jalisco, Mexican authorities discovered three clandestine cremation ovens located at Rancho Izaguirre, a ranch used by the Jalisco New Generation cartel for criminal activities. The discovery was made thanks to an anonymous report received by the Search Warriors on March 5. The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office, led by Salvador González de los Santos, has initiated an investigation to clarify the facts.

The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, has expressed concern over this discovery and questioned the work of the state Prosecutor's Office. Coordination was announced between the federal government, the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, and the Attorney General of the Republic to evaluate a possible federal intervention in the case and provide support to the victims and their families.

Control of Rancho Izaguirre was regained in September after an armed confrontation that culminated in the detention of ten individuals, the release of two people, and the finding of a fatal victim. During the investigation, it was discovered that in addition to incinerating the victims, the criminals buried them under dirt and bricks to hide the remains.

So far, five batches of skeletal remains with signs of having been subjected to high temperatures have been identified, as well as 400 pieces of clothing, 96 bullet casings of various calibers, three magazines, metal capturing rings, three books, a notebook, and an official identification. Authorities continue to work on the case to bring justice to the victims and their loved ones, providing updated information through official channels for public consultation.
