Tragic bus accident in Oaxaca leaves 11 dead

The State Government regrets the death of 11 people in a tragic accident that occurred on the Mitla-Tehuantepec highway, at kilometer 83 + 200, near the entrance to the community of Santo Domingo Narro, this Monday morning. The head of the Government Secretariat (Sego), Jesús Romero López, reported that Governor Salomón Jara Cruz has ordered to provide all necessary support and medical attention to those affected, who are being transferred to medical centers.

Two people are being transferred in critical condition, while another ten require urgent medical attention and will be taken to Juchitán de Zaragoza. The relevant authorities will carry out the necessary investigations to clarify the causes of this tragic accident.

The State Government is committed to supporting the affected families through different entities, such as the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF) Oaxaca. In the words of Jesús Romero López: "It is of utmost importance to channel all our efforts into supporting those who have been affected by this unfortunate tragedy. We are coordinating actions to ensure the attention and care of the injured and to support the families during this difficult time."
