The discovery of Gilda Guadalupe Pérez Rivera's lifeless body in Tlatelolco raised alarms among the residents of the housing complex over the possible existence of clandestine graves in the area. In an interview with Publimetro, activist Mónica Sandoval expressed the community's concern about insecurity in the zone. Other bodies of women have been found in the same place in the past, leading to the suspicion of the existence of clandestine graves in Tlatelolco.

"It's very sad to think that there might be more bodies buried there. This time, residents noticed a person digging a hole where the young woman's body was intended to be buried," said Mónica Sandoval, president of the United Women Network Monsa.

The case of Gilda Guadalupe worries the residents of Tlatelolco because her body would be buried in one of the planters, suggesting the possibility of the presence of clandestine graves in the area. Residents became aware of the situation when they intercepted the individual digging the hole to bury the body, causing him to flee the scene before completing his macabre act.

Deputy Mónica Sandoval, who leads the United Women Network Monsa, shared that Gilda's mother approached the organization after the young woman's disappearance. According to Sandoval, the mother reported that Gilda lived with her boyfriend in Buenavista and that, although she used to see her every March 7 for her birthday, this time she had disappeared without a trace.
