Emiliano Aguilar has decided to break the silence and explain the reason for his distance from his father, Pepe Aguilar. The young singer, who ventured into the urban rap genre in 2024, has expressed that his desire to pursue his musical career solo is what has led him to cut off communication with his father for two and a half years.
In a recent interview on the podcast El Bordo Entertainment, Emiliano Aguilar stated: “I don't want to talk to him right now and it's not because I'm mad at him or because I hate him. We haven’t talked in two and a half years. I don't want to talk to him because I want to do this (his musical career) alone. I feel he doesn't deserve all the 'hate' that they are throwing at him.”
Likewise, the singer asked to stop the hateful comments and media harassment towards his father, highlighting that Pepe Aguilar is a good person. Despite the controversies in which his half-siblings, Leonardo and Ángela, have been involved, Emiliano defends the paternal figure and seeks to stay away from the controversy.
The Aguilar surname became a topic of conversation on social media following the revelation of Christian Nodal's relationship with Ángela Aguilar in June 2024, generating criticism and speculation around the family. The Aguilar dynasty, recognized in regional Mexican music, has been the subject of constant accusations and criticism in the media and on social networks.
Amid this tense environment, the distance between Pepe Aguilar and his eldest son, Emiliano, stands out, which has sparked various speculations. Although Emiliano Aguilar wants to reconnect with his father, he has made it clear that it will not be something immediate and that he prefers to focus on his plans before approaching him: “I love him a lot.”
