Hoy No Circula Regulations for April 19

This Saturday, April 19, the Hoy No Circula program will be in effect in several localities of the State of Mexico, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ixtapaluca, Coacalco de Berriozábal, La Paz, Cuautitlán, Naucalpan de Juárez, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Nezahualcóyotl, Chalco, Nicolás Romero, Chimalhuacán, Tecámac, Chicoloapan, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Ecatepec de Morelos, Tultitlán, Huixquilucan, and Valle de Chalco.

The program's restrictions will apply to vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9) with hologram 1, as well as to cars with hologram 2 and out-of-state vehicles. Vehicles with holograms 0 and 00 are exempt, as well as those exclusively used by health personnel with a valid credential, ambulances, units for persons with disabilities, and electric vehicles.

This weekend there will not be a double Hoy No Circula program despite the poor air quality recorded on Friday, April 18. The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis did not declare an environmental contingency, so the regular program remains in place with the aim of reducing pollution in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico.

It’s worth mentioning that in Mexico City and the 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico included in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, various activities such as the burning of Judas in Iztapalapa will take place during this Holy Saturday.
