Burned Body Found in Tláhuac

On Friday, April 18, in the Tlálhuac area, the lifeless body of a person was discovered near the "La Estancia" mine. Although no one has been arrested for this incident, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City is investigating the events.

According to a woman who presented herself at the scene, the victim was her ex-partner, who apparently collected copper wire to burn it and extract the metal. This is a dangerous occupation that can have serious consequences.

The charred body of a man was found in a mountainous area of the Zapotitla neighborhood, specifically at the intersection of Camino Real and Maclovio Herrera streets. The area is difficult to access and has dry vegetation. Elements of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) and the Attorney General's Office of Justice of CDMX arrived at the site to conduct the relevant investigations.

The victim, who has not yet been officially identified, was found on the grass in a charred state. The presence of military elements and the Mobile Unit of Forensic Investigation indicates the seriousness of the event and the need to clarify the facts.

Authorities noted that the woman who recognized the victim mentioned that he used to burn the copper wire he collected to obtain the metal. The remote location of the body and the conditions in which it was found suggest that the incident may not have been simply an accident. The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City will continue the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
