
A private security worker was found dead in a cistern located between the faculties of Engineering and Humanities at the I Campus of the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH). UNACH confirmed the death through an official statement on April 23, lamenting the loss of the employee of a security company while he was performing surveillance duties at the university. The institution expressed its willingness to cooperate with the authorities in the investigation of the tragic event.
UNACH expressed its solidarity with the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased worker, reaffirming its commitment to the safety and respect for the life of the entire university community. According to preliminary reports from Civil Protection, the man was between 35 and 40 years old and is presumed to have suffered a heart attack or lost his balance. The exact causes of his death have not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has initiated the necessary proceedings to clarify what happened. In a statement, the FGE mentioned that no signs of violence were found in the initial inspections and it appears that the man was alone. More information about the case is expected to be provided in the coming hours. The worker was identified as Christopher Gómez Roblero and had been reported missing since April 21.
