
During the morning conference of President Claudia Sheinbaum this Tuesday, the population was reminded about the National Vaccination Week 2025 being held throughout the country from April 26 to May 3. During this week, people of all ages have the opportunity to receive a series of vaccines, as part of an initiative by the Ministry of Health and the Government of Mexico.
Pregnant women have access to vaccines such as Tdpa, influenza, Covid-19, tetanus, and diphtheria. For children under 1 year old, vaccines such as BCG, hepatitis B, acellular hexavalent, rotavirus, pneumococcus, influenza, tuberculosis, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, poliomyelitis, pneumonia, and influenza are offered.
For children between 1 and 2 years old, the application of vaccines such as MMR, pneumococcus, acellular hexavalent, measles, rubella, mumps, pneumonia, meningitis, whooping cough, tetanus, poliomyelitis, and hepatitis B is recommended. In the case of girls and boys aged 4 to 9 years, vaccines such as DPT, MMR, influenza, Covid-19, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, measles, rubella, mumps, and Covid-19 are available.
For adolescents aged 10 to 19 years, vaccines such as HPV, Td, influenza, MMR, hepatitis B, Covid-19, tetanus, diphtheria, measles, rubella, influenza, and Covid-19 are recommended. For adults aged 20 to 59 years, the application of vaccines such as Td, influenza, MMR, hepatitis B, Covid-19, tetanus, diphtheria, measles, and rubella is suggested.
Finally, adults aged 60 years and older can access vaccines such as influenza, pneumococcus 13/23 serotypes, Covid-19, pneumonia, and meningitis. The importance of vaccination is fundamental for the prevention of diseases and the promotion of health in the population of Mexico.
