Collapse of Shelves Injures Family in Juárez Store

Four family members were injured when shelves collapsed at a Chinese goods store in Juárez. The incident occurred in a shop called Nueva Era. Civil Protection attended to the injured, who managed to get to the hospital on their own.

In the municipality of Juárez, Nuevo León, four family members were injured after shelves collapsed in a Chinese goods store called Nueva Era, located in the Valle de Juárez colony. The structure of the store caused injuries to the individuals, identified as Diana Patricia Villa, 25 years old, Barón Ramses Cavazos, 21 years old, Mady Lively Cavazos, 4 years old, and Juan Manuel Cavazos, 25 years old. Civil Protection of Nuevo León confirmed that they attended to the incident and that the injured individuals received assistance from PC Juárez on-site.

"The individuals indicated that they transported themselves as the store's management would cover the medical expenses," highlighted Civil Protection Nuevo León in a statement. Damage to the structure of the store was reported, resulting in injuries for the customers present in the establishment.

In a separate incident, seven people were rescued in San Pedro, Nuevo León, after becoming trapped in an elevator in a hotel in the area. A mechanical failure stopped the elevator, and the personnel from Civil Protection of Nuevo León had to intervene to free the individuals, most of whom were minors, providing them with hydration and pre-hospital care.

The youths freed from the elevator in the Ms Milenium hotel in San Pedro are Lorenzo González Vales, 15 years old, Iván Jacob Farfán Caballero, 13 years old, Andrés Mezquita Alonzo, 15 years old, Andrés Chapur Fontesilla, 15 years old, Pablo Jacob Farfán Caballero, 21 years old, Omar Jacobo Farfán Caballero, 15 years old, and Pedro Antonio Sosa Alamilla, 18 years old. Civil Protection of Nuevo León detailed the liberation process, which involved the intervention of maintenance personnel from the company responsible for the elevator.
