During AMLO's six-year term, the ISSSTE faced problems in medical care due to the non-compliance of orders by a supplier. Journalists Violeta Santiago and Edrei Durón investigated this situation and highlighted in their report that despite the SAT declaring the company Interacción Biomédica as non-existent, the ISSSTE decided to hire their services.
