The mayor of El Marqués, Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán, led the official delivery of a wastewater treatment plant in the community of Calamanda. This project, which required an investment of 24 million 203 thousand 723 pesos, is part of an effort to promote environmental care and sustainable management of water resources in the locality.
This plant, which has the capacity to carry out Anaerobic-Aerobic treatment of 3 liters per second, ensures that the treated water meets the standards of the Mexican Official Norm NOM-001-SEMARNAT-1996 regarding maximum permissible limits of pollutants. The plant's infrastructure includes a complete treatment system that covers everything from pre-treatment to the final disposal of sludge.
In addition to the wastewater treatment plant, significant electrical works were carried out, both medium and low voltage, to ensure the optimal functioning of the facilities. Additionally, urbanization of the access road to the plant was carried out, including the construction of pavement, sidewalks, curbs, a collector, and the drinking water line, which improves connectivity and functionality of the site.
The development of water infrastructure like this treatment plant is essential to ensure the sustainability of El Marqués. It not only allows for the safe reuse of water but also helps prevent the contamination of water bodies and promote a healthier environment for local communities.
With this delivery, El Marqués reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, improving the quality of life for its residents, caring for natural resources, and complying with environmental regulations. In a national context that demands concrete and responsible actions regarding water, initiatives like this highlight the importance of planning and investment in infrastructure that promotes environmental protection and long-term water security.
