The authorities of Sonora conducted an operation at a property located in the La Huerta neighborhood in Caborca, as part of an investigation into animal cruelty. The operation involved members of the Prosecutor's Office, the Secretary of National Defense, and the Municipal Police. The action took place in a house on Aguascalientes Street as part of a case file for the crime of animal cruelty.

At the site, seven domestic felines were rescued from hazardous conditions. These animals were secured according to established protocol and transferred under custody to Animal Control facilities. There, they remained at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry Agent to continue the investigations, as stated in an official communication.

The prosecutor's office affirmed that the operation was carried out without affecting third parties and with strict adherence to the current legal framework regarding animal protection and welfare. In this regard, it was emphasized that the action was conducted in an orderly manner, following established procedures.
